The University of Seychelles, American Institute of Medicine (USAIM) is an accredited, fully recognized and approved medical institution listed by the World Health Organization (WHO) as an accredited medical school (Reference: WHO Bulletin, October 2001). USAIM is also listed in the International Medical Education Directory (IMED) and recognized by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).

USAIM also conducts post-graduate MS (Ophthalmology) for candidates fulfilling the criteria towards this course and examination requirements. This foray in the M. Ch. Ophthalmology Certification Program will fill a void for candidates wishing to validate their subspeciality experience or undertake a specialized course of study or for surgeons wishing to refresh and update their knowledge in a program manner.
